Badge BackUp — Terms of Service
1. About the app
Badge BackUp is made by Titanus LLC (“we”). It is a commercial, independently maintained mobile app built to make duty more efficient. It is not issued by, endorsed by, or affiliated with any government, law-enforcement agency, or military branch. By using the app you agree to these terms.
2. Not legal advice, not official
The app’s reference content, including Tac Tips, code search and any legal summaries, is for general information only. It is not legal advice, may be out of date or incomplete, and does not replace your agency’s policies, training, your supervisor, or an attorney. You are responsible for checking current laws and policies.
3. Emergencies and safety
The app is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it to summon help, to track a partner’s safety, or as your only means of communication. Features that depend on phone signal, GPS, battery, settings or the other person’s phone can fail. Always follow your agency’s procedures and use your radio and official channels.
4. Your content and your responsibility
Notes, photos, audio, video and files you create stay on your device and belong to you. You are responsible for what you record and for following the laws and policies that apply to you, including recording, evidence, privacy and records-retention rules. Keep your own backups; we cannot recover content from your phone. Before sending files or attachments to any outside email account or cloud service, check your agency’s policy; you are responsible for following it.
5. Partner features
Partner chat, file sharing and LINK location sharing work only between people who choose to connect. Share only with people you trust. When LINK is on, your location is shared with your chosen partner until you or they turn it off or its timer ends.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to break the law, to stalk or harass anyone, to share someone’s location without their knowledge, to impersonate an officer or agency, or to attack, copy or interfere with the app.
7. Subscriptions
Some features may require a paid subscription, billed and managed by Google Play. Cancel or manage it in Google Play. Refunds follow Google Play’s policies.
8. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be error-free, always available, or free of security problems.
9. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost income, or harm arising from use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
10. Changes and ending
We may update these terms or the app. Continued use after a change means you accept it. You can stop at any time by uninstalling. We may suspend use that breaks these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA.
